Practical & Performance Grades Exam

Performance Grades are the new performance-focused exams introduced by ABRSM for 2021, which examiners assess remotely from a video recording submitted by the candidate.

​

The booking period for the first remotely-assessed Performance Grade and ARSM exams in Singapore is 1 to 8 December 2020 and the exam session runs from 5 to 31 January 2021. 

​

As for the Practical (face-to-face) and ARSM exams, the booking period starts from 14 June ~ 28 June 2021. The examination periods are from 1 Sept ~ 30 Sept 2021

Online Music Theory Exam

The first  Online Music Theory exams (Grades 1 to 5) in Singapore for session One 2021 is cancelled.  

For session Two, the booking period exam dates for online Music Theory exams (Grades 1 to 5) is are confirmed as follow;

 

Booking period: 26 April ~ 4 May 2021

Exam Dates: 26 May ~ 23 June 2021

Trinity Digital Grades & Diplomas Exam 

Trinity has released the new syllabus specifications for Trinity’s Digital Grades and Diplomas (Music, Rock & Pop, Drama). These are now available to download from Trinity website and detail all the requirements for the assessments. There is also a short video to help candidates prepare for the exams.

Online Music Theory Exam

The Trinity regular theory examination will take place on the 7 November 2020, Saturday with proper social distancing measures in place.

Closing Date for registration is on the 3 October 2020.

LCME Recorded Exam 

Unfortunately, LCME are not able to confirm a date for the resumption of their overseas face to face exam sessions at the moment. They are paying close attention to the situation as it evolves in each region. They will resume overseas operations as soon as it is safe to do so. 

​

In the meantime,  both Recorded and Online exams are available to everyone, at any time - there are no closing dates.

​

Please contact the local representative for details on when exams will be scheduled in Singapore.

Online Theory Exam

Theory exams are also available in an online format for the first time from Winter 2020. 

​

The NEW online theory platform is ready to take bookings for the Winter 2020 session. 

The online theory platform enables candidates to take any exam from our Theory of Music and Popular Music Theory syllabuses remotely.

This new platform has been designed with a range of features to help candidates navigate their way through clearly and confidently. These include:

  • Access to practise sessions

  • An online notepad

  • Video demos

  • ​

The format and components of these exams follow the current LCME syllabuses for Theory of Music and Popular Music Theory.
